Does Novig Have a Public API?
Yes. Novig publishes a self-serve trading API with REST endpoints, a websocket, OpenAPI specs and a changelog. If you came looking for a Novig odds API, this is the official route: any Novig account can create keys under Profile, Settings, Novig API, and the docs name no approval step and no fee for API access.
The current version is v3. The changelog records the move from v2 to v3 on 26 October 2026, and v2 keeps running beside it. For now v3 has lower rate limits than v2 and no RFQ (request for quote) routes, so parlay pricers stay on v2.
Keys are Ed25519 or P-256 key pairs, and Novig never holds your private key. A management key opens and funds subaccounts but cannot place orders. Each subaccount gets its own trading key, and read-only scopes exist for both kinds. Limits run per subaccount as token buckets that refill 16 reads, 8 order placements and 16 cancels per second, and Novig answers HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header when you go over.
Production keys need an identity check and a location check. They don't work in Arizona, Michigan or Nevada, and Novig refuses requests through a VPN, proxy or Tor exit, though a data-center address is fine. A paper exchange runs the same API with $10,000 in play money and neither check, which makes it the place to build first. The docs are at docs.novig.com.
Novig's Official API or an Aggregated Odds Feed?
Start with the licence, because it decides most of this. Novig's member agreement says the platform's price and trading data belong to Ludlow Exchange, the company that runs Novig's exchange. Members may not reproduce, retransmit, sell or distribute that data without Ludlow's express written consent. A member key is for your own use, and we found no separate data licence in the docs that widens it.
Inside that line, the official API wins. Order placement, batch orders, fills, positions and subaccount funding exist only there, and a read-only key gives a private model the full order book for every outcome at no cost. If you trade on Novig, or build a tool that only you will look at, use Novig's API and test on the paper exchange.
A product that shows Novig prices to other people sits outside that line. You need written consent from Novig, which runs an affiliate track for odds screens, or a feed whose terms cover display. An odds API aggregator also maps Novig's events onto the same games as DraftKings, FanDuel and the other books it carries, in one schema behind one key and one rate limit. You skip the identity check, the location rules and the job of matching Novig's catalog ids to every sportsbook's ids.
Our pick: trade and test with Novig's own API, and put Novig in front of other people through a feed whose terms you have read. The table below lists each odds API in our directory that carries Novig, with the source and date of each claim. The Coverage Map filters them further by league and market.
Odds APIs That Carry Novig
A verified row comes from our own API check, so it shows the leagues and the market families where we saw Novig prices. A row from docs rests on the book list that the provider publishes. That list names Novig but not the leagues or the markets, so the row has no per-league data. Live odds, free tier and price come from our directory research, never from the probe. Some provider links are affiliate links.

What Novig Data You Can Get
Novig quotes each outcome as a probability between 0 and 1, sent as a decimal string such as 0.665. A contract pays $1 if it wins, so 0.665 means a 66.5% implied chance, about -199 in American odds before fees. Convert it yourself before you compare it with a sports odds API that quotes American or decimal odds.
- Markets. Moneyline, spread, total and team total, plus three-way moneylines split into separate Yes/No markets for home, away and draw. Player props come as Over/Under or Yes/No outcomes, which a player props API can match to the books.
- Order books. Each outcome has its own book, with bids and asks and the size at each price.
- Leagues. NFL, MLB, UFC and pro tennis at the 2026 launch. October 2026 added boxing, NBA alternate-line ladders, NBA futures and soccer team totals.
- Live markets. Live market types have their own endpoint, and Novig charges its taker fee on game markets only while they are live.
- History. Trade history and price candles in the API, plus two free CSV files per trading day: every trade, and a markets snapshot with open interest, volume and the open, high, low and close prices.
Parlays use a separate flow: approved pricers quote combos through the RFQ system, which still runs on v2.
Why Novig Prices Matter
Novig takes no side in a trade. Users post prices against each other on an order book, Novig charges the taker a fee on fills, and makers pay nothing. A Novig price shows what another trader will accept, with no house margin built into the number, and the size beside it shows how much you can get there.
Put Novig next to the books and the gaps carry information. A soft book far from the Novig midpoint on a busy market is worth a second look. A Novig price that moves before the books tells you where the money came in. Novig sits in the US exchange group with Kalshi, ProphetX and Polymarket, the venues where traders set the price instead of a book.
The fee shapes the real price. Novig's taker fee is 0.06 x P x (1 - P) per contract, where P is the price, so it peaks at even money and shrinks toward the extremes. Subtract it before you call a Novig price better than a book's.
Use Cases for Novig Data
- Line shopping with an exchange column. Show Novig next to sportsbook odds, converted to American odds and net of the taker fee.
- Fair-price models. Use the Novig midpoint on busy markets as one input to a no-vig fair line, weighted by the size at each price, next to sharp books such as Pinnacle.
- Closing line value. Grade your picks against the Novig close next to the sportsbook close. Novig's daily CSV files cover its side, and a historical odds feed covers the books.
- Market making. Quote on Novig through the official API, where makers pay no fee, with an aggregated feed as your outside reference price.
- Live tools. Track Novig's live markets next to the books' in-play lines from a live odds API.
Before You Build on Novig
Novig serves US users only: 21 or older, in any state except Nevada, Arizona and Michigan, judged by where you are when you trade. Novig is regulated by the CFTC as a designated contract market through Ludlow Exchange, LLC, which the CFTC designated on 16 June 2026, and it relaunched under federal rules on 4 August 2026. Before that it ran on a sweepstakes model, so older guides and forum posts describe rules that no longer apply.
Novig changed its fees twice in October 2026. The live taker coefficient rose from 0.03 to 0.06 on 15 October, and the maker credit fell on 22 October. Keep the fee formula in config, and read the changelog before each release. New to odds data? The getting started guide covers the basics, and the betting exchange API guide covers order books and commission.
