ProphetX API: Official Access or an Aggregated Odds Feed
ProphetX quotes American odds with the cash behind each price. Trade it through the official API, or read it next to sportsbooks through a feed.

Does ProphetX Have a Public API?
Yes. ProphetX, the US sports exchange once called Prophet Exchange, publishes developer docs for four products. If you searched for a ProphetX odds API, start with these. This page covers the sports exchange, not the unrelated market-data software that shares the ProphetX name.
- Trading API. REST plus a websocket for algorithmic traders: markets, the price ladder, events, tournaments, players, orders, balances and trade history.
- Market Data API. Read-only JSON for tournaments, events, markets, prices and available size, built for price-display products. Keys come from the ProphetX Market Data team by email.
- Parlay API. A websocket RFQ (request for quote) flow for market makers who quote parlays.
- FIX order entry for institutional traders.
Since 7 October 2026, any account that has passed identity checks can create up to two live Trading API keys under API Integration, with no request or approval step. You trade the key pair for a short-lived access token and a refresh token that lasts about three days. ProphetX publishes no rate-limit numbers. New keys start on a conservative tier, and higher limits need at least 500 orders over 24 hours or more of stable sandbox activity, then an engineering review. Sandbox accounts are free and come with demo funds. The docs are at docs.prophetx.co.
ProphetX's Official API or an Aggregated Odds Feed?
The terms set the split. ProphetX gives users a limited, revocable licence for permitted use and bars selling, distributing or sub-licensing any part of the service. It keeps the rights in its data and its record of trades. Its terms also ban trading bots, with one exception: programmatic trading through the ProphetX API. A Trading API key covers trading your own account.
So trade through the official API. It is the only place to place and cancel orders, see your fills and quote parlays. If you run a strategy on ProphetX, the Trading API is the route, and the free sandbox lets you prove it before real money moves.
For prices that other people will see, the official route is the Market Data API, and ProphetX hands out its keys by request. Its own access page says aggregators and trading terminals ask for it most. An odds API aggregator that carries ProphetX is the shorter path: its prices arrive next to DraftKings, FanDuel and the other books in one schema, with no identity check, no token refresh loop and no wait for a reply. Ask that feed what its terms let you display before you ship.
The split we recommend: the Trading API for your own orders, and a feed or a Market Data key for anything other people see. The table below lists each odds API in our directory that carries ProphetX, with the source and date of each claim. The Coverage Map filters them further by league and market.
Odds APIs That Carry ProphetX
A verified row comes from our own API check, so it shows the leagues and the market families where we saw ProphetX prices. A row from docs rests on the book list that the provider publishes. That list names ProphetX but not the leagues or the markets, so the row has no per-league data. Live odds, free tier and price come from our directory research, never from the probe. What ProphetX Data You Can Get
ProphetX is the easiest US exchange to put next to a sportsbook, because it quotes American odds. Orders sit on a fixed ladder of whole-number American odds, and the book shows the total cash resting at each price level, without order ids. In the Market Data API each outcome is its own buy-only instrument, so you read one side per outcome and pair them yourself.
- US leagues. Moneyline, spread and total on MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, college football, college basketball, UFC and tennis.
- Soccer. Two-way winner, spread and total on the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, MLS, the Champions League and the Europa League.
- Props and futures. Player props on NFL, NBA and MLB, player scoring props on NHL, and participant props and futures on golf and NASCAR. A player props API lines them up with the books.
- Live. Live trading on each of these markets, with the in-play delay cut to 0 seconds on every tournament since 7 October 2026.
- Parlays. Peer-to-peer parlays that market makers price through RFQ, with a parlay taker fee since 20 August 2026.
The October 2026 release also gave each market line event on the websocket an increasing sequence number, so you can spot a missed update and resync. The same release added esports market types.
Why ProphetX Prices Matter
ProphetX takes no side in a trade. Users post prices, and ProphetX earns a commission or a maker/taker fee on fills. A ProphetX price shows what another trader will accept, and the cash figure beside it shows how much you can get at that number. A sportsbook line gives you neither.
Because ProphetX already speaks American odds, a gap between ProphetX and a book shows up in the same units, and a line-shopping or +EV tool can flag it without a conversion step. Watch the size. An order larger than the cash at a price fills in part and rests the remainder, so a better number with little money behind it is worth less than it looks.
Pair ProphetX with Novig and Kalshi for the US exchange side, and with Pinnacle or Circa for the sharp sportsbook side. When the exchanges and the sharp books agree and a soft book does not, you have found a line worth a closer look.
Use Cases for ProphetX Data
- Line shopping. Add ProphetX as a column in a sportsbook odds comparison, net of its fee.
- Fair-price checks. Use the best ProphetX prices on both sides of a busy market as a no-vig reference for soft books.
- Live dashboards. With a 0-second in-play delay, ProphetX prices sit well in a live odds view next to the books' in-play lines.
- Market making. Quote markets and parlays through the Trading and Parlay APIs, where makers may earn rebates, with an aggregated feed as your outside reference.
- Closing line value. Grade picks against the ProphetX close next to the sportsbook close from a historical odds feed. As a regulated exchange, ProphetX also posts a daily Time and Sales report and a Daily Bulletin.
Before You Build on ProphetX
ProphetX has changed form twice. It launched in New Jersey in August 2022 as Prophet Exchange, a state-licensed peer-to-peer betting exchange, then ran as a sweepstakes product from 2024. It is now regulated by the CFTC as a designated contract market and clearing house, approved on 11 June 2026, with a nationwide launch on 18 June. Guides and forum posts from before June 2026 describe a different product.
State coverage is the open question. ProphetX lists no states, and the two trackers we read disagree: both exclude Nevada, and one also excludes Minnesota. Users must be 18 or older, or the local age of majority if higher. Read the changelog before each release, because access rules move fast: self-serve keys and a note that public market-data endpoints no longer need authentication both arrived on 7 October 2026.
For a first build, the getting started guide and the betting exchange API guide cover the groundwork.
