Bet Better runs a sports betting model and publishes its output as a free API. Each entry is the model's own view of one selection: the chance it lands, a fair-odds figure, a confidence label and a one-sentence verdict. On top of the picks feeds sit predicted final scores and fantasy projections, all read-only and all keyless.

The important part is what the feed leaves out. Bet Better says the feed carries no sportsbook names and no market prices. It licenses its odds from a third party and is only allowed to publish work derived from them, so the docs say plainly that bookmaker prices are not coming. What you get is a probability layer. The market price comes from somewhere else.

The whole thing is licensed CC BY 4.0, which permits commercial use as long as you credit Bet Better.

The picks feeds cover the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and WNBA, college football and basketball, the AFL and NRL, UFC, cricket, ATP and WTA tennis, and soccer: the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, MLS and the World Cup. Each league has three feed shapes:

• best-bets returns game lines only: moneyline, spread and total.
• prop-bets returns player-prop selections only.
• picks returns both, ranked.

Two more feeds come in CSV as well as JSON. Predicted scores (/predicted-scores/{sport}) give one row per upcoming game with each side's projected score, the home margin, the total and the home win probability, across eleven sports. Fantasy projections (/fantasy/{sport}) rank players by projected points under PPR, half-PPR, standard, DraftKings and FanDuel scoring for the NFL, and the relevant formats for the NBA, NHL, WNBA and AFL, with the projected stat line alongside.

Coverage follows the calendar. Fixtures that have started drop out, so a league's feed is empty in its off-season, and the docs flag that as expected behavior.

The API is the website. Take any picks page and add ?format=json:

Every pick carries the fixture, the UTC start time, the market, the selection, the line where there is one, the model's probability as a percentage, a fairOdds figure in decimal format, a confidence label (HIGH, LEAN or LONG-SHOT) and a dated verdict sentence. The envelope repeats the licence, the attribution string and an updatedUtc timestamp, so a cached copy always says how old it is.

The probability is the field to build on. Turn it into a break-even price (100 divided by the percentage), set that next to a sportsbook's price from an odds API, and the gap is the model's claimed edge. That comparison is the job Bet Better expects you to do with it. The feed also ships a fairOdds field; check it against your own conversion before you lean on it.

The practical details are tidy. There is an OpenAPI 3.0 spec, CORS is on, and a data error comes back as a valid document with an error field instead of a 500. Predicted-score columns are fixed and will not change without notice, which matters if you poll them into a tracker.

A model feed is only worth the model, and Bet Better publishes its track record. The /scorecard feed returns settled performance for every call the free board has made over the last 120 days, split by sport and market: picks, wins, hit rate, flat one-unit profit and loss, and ROI. Losers count the same as winners, and the file explains what the pool is and what it is not.

That is unusual for a picks site, and it is the right thing to check before you build on the numbers. Some sport and market pairs hold up better than others, and the scorecard shows which ones.

The API is free. There is no key, no signup, no rate card and no hard rate limit. Responses are cached for 15 minutes (fantasy projections for an hour), the model refreshes several times a day, and the docs ask you to cache on your side instead of polling in a tight loop. A status and changelog page records when each feed last got new data.

The licence is CC BY 4.0. You may use, transform and redistribute the data, commercially included, with credit to Bet Better. A link back to the site covers it.

A paid product sits beside the free feed. Bet Better Data licenses the full working board, with the model's numbers shown next to the market line and every version timestamped, as a weekly file, spreadsheet, email or API, starting from a four-week pilot. Pricing for that is not published.

• Sportsbook prices. By design and by licence. Pair the feed with an odds provider from the directory to get the market side.
• Live and in-play. Started fixtures leave the feed, so this is a pregame tool. For in-play numbers, look at the live odds API category.
• Scores and stats. The API projects scores and stat lines; it does not report actual results, box scores or standings. A sports data API fills that gap.
• Push delivery. Plain REST with a 15-minute cache. No WebSocket or webhook, which suits a feed that refreshes a few times a day.
• Esports. Not covered.

• Odds comparison and value-finder tools that already carry market prices and want an independent probability to rank bets against.
• Prediction trackers and aggregators. The predicted-scores CSV is built for them, with fixed columns and an invitation to poll.
• Fantasy and DFS side projects that need free projections in up to five scoring formats without scraping.
• Content sites and newsletters that want to quote a model's number with a clean licence and a ready-made attribution line.
• Students and modelers who want to benchmark their own model against a published one with a public record.

This one hands you the model's answer: a probability, a fair-odds figure and a confidence label for every priced selection across twenty leagues, with no key and a licence that allows commercial use. It is honest about its limits, from the missing bookmaker prices to the public scorecard, and that honesty makes it easy to trust as one input among several.
