Krok Odds API Review 2026

Krok Odds is an Australian sports data platform with an API on top. The consumer product is a punter-facing analytics suite (arb scanner, racing intelligence, model tips); the API exposes the same engine to developers. That heritage shapes the data: instead of raw odds alone, most endpoints return computed edges, such as arbitrage pairs with stake splits, positive-EV bets benchmarked against exchange fair prices, middles, and low-holds.

The pitch that matters for this directory: sports and racing in a single key, priced in AUD, with Australian bookmaker coverage as the focus. Few providers in our odds API directory touch AU racing at all, and none we have reviewed combine thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound data with sports odds this way.

The marketing says 140+ bookmaker brands. The docs are more honest, and credit to Krok for publishing the breakdown: 157 branded sites resolve to 26 distinct price lines, because most of those brands are white-label clones on shared platforms (Betmakers alone accounts for 47 brands publishing one odds line). The API dedupes clones to a single line. Coverage of the books that matter is real: Sportsbet, TAB, Ladbrokes, PointsBet, Unibet, Dabble, BlueBet, TABtouch, and Betfair are all listed active, with Bet365 flagged as limited.

Sport coverage is wide: AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL, EPL, cricket, tennis, F1, golf, cycling, esports, and a long tail through to darts and netball, with 200+ market types including 146 player-prop markets. Racing gets its own endpoint family: meetings with weather and track condition, arbs, movers, tote pools, sectional times, runner form, ratings, futures, and historical results with Betfair starting prices.

Two clarifications on the pills, both from testing on a full API key. Pinnacle: the API does not serve Pinnacle prices, and the founder is straightforward about why — Australian bettors cannot place money on Pinnacle, so Betfair Exchange is the sharp reference Krok uses and distributes. The pill is off, and that is a considered design choice rather than a gap. Bookmaker deeplinks: a bet_link field arrived across the REST endpoints in late August 2026, and the SSE stream pushes direct links to the event at both bookmakers. The REST links currently open bookmaker landing or search pages rather than a pre-filled bet slip, so the pill stays amber until they link all the way through.

Billing is metered in credits. Live endpoints cost 1 credit, historical archive endpoints cost 5, and bulk exports cost 25. The mitigating factor is payload density: one credit on the opportunities endpoint returns arbs, EV bets, middles, low-holds, and player props across all books in a single response, up to 500 results on the paid tier. Empty results are refunded. For a polling app watching a few sports every 5 minutes, the 50,000 monthly credits leave real headroom.

Mind the licence before you build. Krok's terms are display-only: their data may feed a product you sell, but may not be the product you sell, and reselling it as a feed or dataset requires a custom licence. Attribution ("Data provided by Krok Odds") must sit on the same screen as the data. On sourcing: the docs still describe a mix of licensed aggregator feeds plus a direct-scrape tier, but the founder tells us the service migrated fully to its own direct scrapes in August 2026, with a docs refresh to follow. One more small ding: the docs call the status endpoint public, but it returned "API key required" when we tested it.

Two tiers, both AUD:

• Free, A$0: 50 requests per month at 5 results per request, arbitrage and low-hold endpoints only. Sign-in required, no card. That is enough to inspect the data shape and little else; treat it as a schema preview, not a working allowance.
• API, A$49/mo (A$39/mo billed annually): the full surface — arbs, EV, middles, player props, racing, exchange pricing, the direct-scrape feed, webhooks, and bulk export. 50,000 credits per month, 500 results per request, opt-in overage at A$5 per 1,000 credits with a spending cap.

At roughly US$32, the paid tier undercuts most US-centric competitors, and there are no per-sport add-ons. The pricing page comparisons to other providers are selective (as vendor comparisons always are), but the flat rate itself is genuinely low for what the key unlocks.

The audience is specific, and the product is better for it:

• AU-market builders making arb alert bots, +EV dashboards, or Telegram tools aimed at Australian punters.
• Racing developers who need thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound data (form, sectionals, tote pools, BSPs) alongside fixed odds, which almost no general odds API offers.
• Prop bettors using the 146 player-prop markets with historical hit rates for backtesting.

Krok Odds is proudly AU-first, so if your product needs bookmaker depth outside Australia, it pairs well with a general aggregator from the directory. One note for feed builders: the licence is display-only, so plan to use Krok data inside your own product rather than redistributing it as a feed.

Krok Odds is a genuinely different offering in a directory full of lookalike aggregators: one of only two listings that treat Australian racing as a first-class citizen, with edge detection done server-side so you consume conclusions rather than compute them. We tested it on a full API key in August 2026. The sports and racing endpoints returned live Australian data throughout, the SSE stream connected instantly and pushed arb snapshots with direct bookmaker links, and the tips-accuracy endpoint publishes its own win rates for anyone to audit. The docs are extensive and unusually candid about the clone-brand arithmetic, and A$49 flat is cheap for the surface area.

The caution flags are the thin free tier, the display-only licence, and the occasional rough edge in the data that comes with a young service; parts of the historical archive also only reach back to mid-2026. The founder is responsive and ships fixes quickly, which counts for a lot at this stage. If you build for Australian punters, sign in, spend the 50 free requests on the endpoints you care about, and judge the data quality against your own needs before putting A$49 down.
