TipsAudit API Review 2026
A developer review of the TipsAudit API: three keyless JSON endpoints for the fair price of each upcoming football match, the margin each bookmaker charges, and the site's own record of value flags.

What TipsAudit Is
TipsAudit is a football site that measures prices. Its free API returns a fair price for each upcoming match: the sharp market's 1X2 price with the bookmaker margin taken out. The OpenAPI file names Pinnacle as that sharp market. The fair price is also called the no-vig or devigged price.
The API does not return the raw odds of each bookmaker. It returns one derived price per outcome, the fair probability behind it, and the single best soft-bookmaker price when that price sits above fair. A second endpoint gives the average margin of each bookmaker over 30 days.
It needs no key and no account. We called all three endpoints on 2026-10-31. Each one answered without a key, sent Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, and showed its rate limit in the response headers.
Endpoints and Data
The base URL is https://tipsaudit.com/api/v1, and the OpenAPI file describes three GET endpoints:
/predictionslists every upcoming match the site prices. Each match carries the league, the teams, the kickoff time in UTC,fair_oddsandfair_probabilitiesfor home, draw and away, andfair_source. That field readslivefor a fresh read of the sharp price andloggedwhen the API falls back to the last recorded price. On our check it held 363 matches in 66 leagues, from the Premier League and the Champions League to the Peruvian and Latvian top flights.- The same match objects carry a
valueblock when a soft bookmaker pays above fair: the outcome, the bookmaker, its price and theprice_gapin percent. Astatusfield sorts each match intoactionable(a gap of at least 1.5%),monitor,expired,unconfirmedornone. /marginsis the bookmaker margin index. It gives the average 1X2 margin of each bookmaker over the last 30 days, with a match count, and the average margin of each league with its lowest-margin bookmaker. On our check it covered 48 bookmakers and exchanges and 75 leagues, measured on 3,304 matches./badgereturns the headline numbers of the site's own value flags: the count, the average closing line value with its 95% interval, and the return on flat stakes. A backtest comes back in its own labelled block, apart from the live record.
Predictions refresh about every 5 minutes and margins every hour. Responses carry a 5-minute cache header, so polling faster gains nothing.
TipsAudit Pricing and Terms
The API is free, commercial use included. The one condition is attribution: a visible link to tipsaudit.com wherever you display the data. The limit is 60 requests a minute on /predictions and /margins and 120 on /badge. Over the limit, a call returns HTTP 429.
The site sells a PRO plan for €7 a month, in free beta when we checked. PRO is for the website: value alerts and audits of your own bets. It does not change the API, and the API has no paid tier.
The site also publishes its past predictions, closing prices and results as an open dataset under CC BY 4.0 on Zenodo. Version 2026.10.1 came out on 2026-10-27. That dataset is the place for history, because the API serves upcoming matches only.
What It Does Not Cover
- Raw bookmaker odds. You get one fair price per outcome and one best soft price, not the price of every book. For full odds boards, use an aggregator from our directory.
- Other markets. The API covers 1X2 only: no totals, handicaps or player props.
- In-play odds. Prices are pre-match. For in-play feeds, see the live odds API guide.
- Other sports. Football only. Our soccer odds API guide covers the wider field.
- History in the API. Past matches, closing prices and results sit in the open dataset, not behind an endpoint. Our historical odds guide lists other sources.
- Push updates. REST only, with no WebSocket.
Who TipsAudit Is For
- Model builders who want a fair benchmark price to test against, without paying for a sharp feed or removing the margin themselves.
- Front-end projects and prototypes. No key and open CORS mean a static page can call it directly, so you need no server to hide a secret.
- Writers and tool makers who compare bookmakers: the margin index answers "which book is cheapest in this league" in one call.
- Value and closing-line work on football 1X2, read with the published record and the open dataset next to it.
It is not for an odds comparison screen, a sportsbook, or anything outside football 1X2.
Verdict
A narrow API that does one job with no friction. The fair price of a match is the number many betting models need first, and here it costs nothing and needs no key. The margin index is a useful extra that we have not seen as a free endpoint elsewhere.
Know what you get. It is a derived price from one sharp market, for one market type in one sport, and the value flags are the site's own signal, not a feed of every book. The site publishes its record with intervals, including the note that its return so far is not proven, and that openness makes the data easier to trust.
