What Cito Is

Cito sells esports and combat-sports data through one REST API and one key. Counter-Strike 2 is the newest game on the list and the one this listing leads with: live scores down to the round, finished-match box scores, player and team stats, world rankings, tournament schedules and skin prices. The same key also reaches League of Legends, Dota 2, Fortnite, Call of Duty League, Apex Legends (ALGS), UFC and tennis.

It is a data API, not an odds feed. You get what happened in the match and who played it. For esports betting prices, pair it with an odds provider from the esports odds API guide.

Signup is self-serve. You get a key on the spot, and the free tier needs no card and no sales call.

CS2 Coverage and Endpoints

The CS2 product page claims about 15,000 matches, 8,800 players, 4,500 teams and 1,500 events. The docs mark CS2 as beta. The endpoints split into five groups:

  • Live. /cs2/live lists active matches with the series score, the current map and the round. /cs2/live/{matchId}/state returns one match in detail: rounds, sides, players and the bomb position.
  • Results and schedule. Upcoming and recent matches, and one match with its maps, veto history, event and stream links.
  • Stats. Per-map box scores (kills, deaths, ADR, KAST and rating), plus career and map-level totals for each player.
  • Teams, players and rankings. Team rosters with coaching staff, player profiles, and a world ranking that switches to Valve's own Regional Standings with ?source=vrs.
  • Events and search. Upcoming, live and recent tournaments, and one search endpoint across teams, players, events and matches.

The skin market is the odd one out, and a useful one. Cito tracks prices for about 29,000 tradable items across more than 25 marketplaces, with daily history back to 2020 for items that have traded that long, and a trending feed of gainers and losers.

Live Data and Delivery

Everything works over plain REST with JSON responses. For live CS2 matches there is also a Server-Sent Events stream at /cs2/live/stream, which pushes updates over a normal HTTP connection, so you do not have to poll.

Two plan details matter for live use. On the Free and Starter plans, live data runs on a 60-second delay; real-time data starts on Pro. WebSockets come with the Scale plan, and the pricing page lists them as live for UFC and League of Legends today, with the other games marked coming soon. If you need a CS2 WebSocket rather than the SSE stream, ask Cito before you buy.

For a broader look at push delivery and latency, see the live sports odds API guide.

SDKs, OpenAPI and the MCP Server

The developer tooling is a strong point. There are official SDKs for JavaScript and TypeScript (npm) and Python (PyPI), an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, and an llms.txt file plus a machine-readable endpoint list written for AI coding agents.

There is also an official MCP server. One command installs it locally, it builds more than 100 tools from the live OpenAPI spec, and it works on the free tier:

npx cito-mcp install --key cito_your_key_here

Once installed, Claude, Cursor or any other MCP client can pull live scores, rankings, schedules and stats for every game Cito covers. Our sports MCP servers page explains how these servers work.

Cito Pricing

Cito publishes its prices. All plans are monthly:

  • Free: $0, 500 calls a month, 10 calls a minute, 30 days of history, every game over REST, live data on a 60-second delay.
  • Starter: $15, 10,000 calls a month, 30 calls a minute, 90 days of history, one game of your choice, live data on a 60-second delay.
  • Pro: $59, 250,000 calls a month, 100 calls a minute, every game, real-time live data and the full archive. WebSockets are a $15 add-on for UFC and LoL.
  • Scale: $100, 1,000,000 calls a month, 400 calls a minute, WebSockets included and a 99.9% uptime SLA.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing from 5,000,000 calls a month, dedicated infrastructure and a 99.95% SLA.

The jump from Starter to Pro is where live use starts: Starter is one game on a delay, Pro is every game in real time. Check the pricing page for the current numbers before you commit.

What It Does Not Cover

  • Esports betting odds. The CS2, LoL, Dota 2, CoD and Apex feeds carry results and stats, not prices. Cito does sell UFC odds from June 2026 on the Pro plan and above, but for esports markets you need an esports odds API.
  • Real-time on the cheap plans. Free and Starter run live data 60 seconds behind, which suits a dashboard but not in-play trading.
  • Deep CS2 history on the low tiers. Free keeps 30 days and Starter 90. The full archive starts on Pro.

Who Cito Is For

  • Discord bots and match trackers that post CS2 or LoL scores, results and rankings to a community.
  • Esports betting tools that already have prices from an odds feed and want round-level match state, form and player stats next to them.
  • Fantasy and pick'em games that score on kills, ADR, KAST or rating.
  • Skin market apps that compare prices across marketplaces or chart a skin's price over time.
  • AI agent builders who want esports data inside Claude or Cursor through the MCP server, on the free tier.

Verdict

Esports data has long been a sales-call market. Cito is not: it publishes its prices, gives out a key on signup and has a free tier that covers every game. For CS2 it goes down to the round, with box scores, Valve's own ranking and a skin-price feed that most esports APIs do not carry. The SDKs, the OpenAPI spec and the MCP server make it quick to start.

Start on the free tier, check that the CS2 beta covers the events you need, and move to Pro when you need real-time data. If you need CS2 over WebSocket, confirm the timeline with Cito first. Read the CS2 docs for the full endpoint list.
