What FanLine Wire Is
FanLine Wire is a data feed for one book: FanDuel Sportsbook. A REST API lists markets and prices, and a push WebSocket streams every change. Moneyline, spread and totals are the core markets, and the feed also carries the futures and outright markets that FanDuel publishes. Every selection comes with a FanDuel bet-slip link.
FanDuel has no public odds API, so a feed like this is how a developer gets its prices into code. FanLine Wire says it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by FanDuel, and it doesn't take bets. The site is a sibling of the PinnWire, OddiWire and MatchWire feeds. See our FanDuel API guide for the wider picture.
Coverage and Markets
The all-sports endpoint, /v1/board.json, covers every sport FanDuel lists, with moneyline, spread and totals plus futures. The site's examples show basketball and soccer, and the docs name tennis, hockey, baseball, golf and MMA.
Four leagues get the full board on every game:
- NFL and college football: halves, quarters, team totals, alternate lines and player props.
- NBA and men's college basketball: the same market set, with player props as FanDuel posts them, usually closer to tip-off.
Each state has its own FanDuel market ids and bet-slip links. New Jersey, Kansas and Colorado are live, and the all-sports endpoints read New Jersey. Prices come as American odds, and the stream adds decimal. The docs list no historical archive, so pair the feed with a historical odds source if you backtest, and with an aggregator from the API directory for other books.
Push Stream and Bet-Slip Links
The stream lives at wss://api.fanlinewire.com/v1/stream. After the hello frame, you send one subscribe message with a state and the same filters as the REST markets call: league, category and period. The server sends a snapshot in chunks, a subscribed frame, and then an update frame for every market that changed. Each update holds the full market, so you replace what you hold.
Market status flips between OPEN and SUSPENDED in real time, which traders use as a signal on its own. The site puts the delay at about 0.2 seconds from FanDuel's change to your stream. That's FanLine Wire's own figure, and we haven't measured it. A bet-slip link on every selection opens that bet on FanDuel in the right state, so it suits tools that hand a pick to a user. For more on push feeds, see our live odds guide.
FanLine Wire Pricing and the Free Plan
There are three plans, billed monthly by card or crypto, with no per-request metering and cancel-any-time terms (checked November 2026):
- Free: $0, no card, 100 REST requests a day.
- Basic: $29 a month, 1,000 REST requests a day.
- Full: $149 a month, 30 REST requests a second plus the WebSocket stream.
Every plan reads the same FanDuel board, so a plan changes the speed and the transport, not the coverage. Free and Basic are REST only. The public snapshot at /odds.json needs no key at all, and it's a good way to see the data before you sign up. It refreshes on a slower interval, and the site asks for no more than one fetch every 10 seconds.
Getting an API Key
The free plan is the way in. Open the FanLine Wire home page, enter your email in the key form and the key arrives in your inbox. The site never shows it on screen, so the key ties to your address. The free plan needs no card and doesn't expire (checked November 2026). Basic costs $29 a month and Full costs $149, and you can pay by card or crypto.
You send the key in an x-api-key header, as Authorization: Bearer <key>, or as a ?key= parameter. The WebSocket takes the key in the URL. A call to GET /v1/me returns your plan and limits and doesn't count against your quota. The keyless demo snapshot at /odds.json needs no key at all.
A First Request in Python
This sample calls GET /v1/nj/events for this week's NFL games on the New Jersey board. The answer holds an events list, and each event has an event_id, a name, a start_time and a market_count. It comes from the docs, checked November 2026, and we haven't run it with a key.
import os
import requests
BASE = "https://api.fanlinewire.com/v1"
KEY = os.environ["FANLINEWIRE_API_KEY"]
resp = requests.get(
f"{BASE}/nj/events",
params={"league": "nfl"},
headers={"x-api-key": KEY},
timeout=10,
)
resp.raise_for_status()
data = resp.json()
for event in data["events"][:5]:
print(event["event_id"], event["name"], event["start_time"], event["market_count"])
Pass an event_id to /v1/nj/markets to get the prices, with american, decimal and betslip_url on each selection.
Rate Limits, Docs and SDKs
REST limits are per key: Free allows 100 requests a day, Basic 1,000 a day and Full 30 a second (checked November 2026). The public snapshot is separate, with a politeness floor of one fetch every 10 seconds. A key can hold up to 3 WebSocket connections, on the Full plan only. The docs don't publish a 429 format.
The docs sit on one page with the endpoints, the stream frames and the states. There's an official zero-dependency Node.js client, fanlinewire on GitHub, under the MIT license. It covers the keyless snapshot. We found no Python SDK, OpenAPI spec or changelog. A status page shows 24-hour availability, and support is by email at hello at fanlinewire dot com.
Who FanLine Wire Is For
FanLine Wire fits a developer who wants FanDuel and nothing else.
- Prop and line scanners that watch FanDuel's NFL and NBA boards for moves.
- Betting tools that need a bet-slip link on every price.
- Developers who want to try first: the free plan and the keyless snapshot cost nothing.
The terms bar sharing or reselling feed access, so a product for third parties needs a license first. For prices from several books, add an aggregator from the sports odds API guide.
Verdict
FanLine Wire is a tidy, narrow feed. The docs fit on one page, the plans fit on one screen, and the free tier gives you a real key. The stream, bet-slip links and per-state boards are the parts that stand out.
The 0.2 second delay is the site's own number, so time it from your server on the Full plan. Start with the free key and the demo snapshot, and move up once the data fits your project.
