Cloudbet API Review 2026
Cloudbet publishes its own sportsbook odds over REST and lets you place bets through a second API. There's no plan fee. You need a Cloudbet account, and the key type decides what you get.

What Cloudbet Is
Cloudbet is a crypto sportsbook, and it publishes an API for its own odds. This is one book's feed, not an aggregator. You read the prices that Cloudbet shows its customers, and you can place bets on them through a separate Trading API. Cloudbet's docs call the pieces Account, Feed, Trading and Trading B2B (a variant for operators who set their own odds).
Because everything comes from one book, there's no matching layer to learn. The trade-off is plain: you get Cloudbet's lines and nothing else. If you want to compare prices across many sportsbooks, pair it with an aggregator from the API directory. We wrote this review from Cloudbet's public docs and haven't tested a key.
Coverage and Endpoints
The Feed API lives under https://sports-api.cloudbet.com/pub/v2/odds/ and follows a short path from sport to price:
- Sports:
GET /pub/v2/odds/sportslists them, andGET /pub/v2/odds/sports/{key}returns the competition keys for one sport. - Competitions:
GET /pub/v2/odds/competitions/{competitionKey}returns fixtures, and amarketsparameter picks the markets. - Events:
GET /pub/v2/odds/eventsacceptssportandlivefilters, andGET /pub/v2/odds/events/{id}returns one event with its lines.
The live filter means in-play prices are part of the feed. The docs we read don't list the sports, leagues or market types in one place, so the sports call is the way to see what Cloudbet offers today. They also describe no archive of past or closing odds. Pair it with a historical odds source if you backtest.
Two Key Types, Two Jobs
Cloudbet issues two kinds of key, and the choice shapes your project:
- Trading key: it comes from a funded Cloudbet account. It gives real-time Feed responses and unlocks bet placement (
POST /pub/v3/bets/place), bet status and bet history. - Affiliate key: it comes from a Cloudbet affiliate account. It's meant for reading odds without betting, and its Feed responses "may be cached and up to 1 minute behind" (the docs' wording).
So a price display or comparison site can run on the Affiliate key, while a bot that acts on a price needs the Trading key. The Feed has no push stream in the docs we read, so a bot polls the REST endpoints. For other ways to get live prices, see our live odds guide.
Cloudbet also hosts a small Sports MCP Server on GitHub. Its README calls it a demo for education, so treat it as a sample, not a product.
Cloudbet Pricing and Access
Cloudbet charges no fee for the API. The cost is the account. For a Trading key, the docs say to deposit the equivalent of 10 EUR in a currency of your choice, then create the key in the API Key section of your account menu (checked November 2026). For an Affiliate key, you log in to a Cloudbet affiliate account and generate the token on its Affiliate API Token page.
That makes the feed free to use once the account exists. The docs don't state a rate limit or a regional list for the Feed. Check that Cloudbet accepts customers in your country before you plan around it. The docs warn that there is a penalty for rotating keys too often.
Getting an API Key
Cloudbet has no sign-up form for the API alone. The key comes with an account, and there are two kinds. For a Trading key, deposit the equivalent of 10 EUR in a currency of your choice, then open the API Key section of your Cloudbet account menu. For an Affiliate key, log in to a Cloudbet affiliate account and generate the token on its Affiliate API Token page (checked November 2026).
Send the key in the X-API-Key header on every request. The Trading key gives real-time Feed data and can place bets. The Affiliate key reads odds only, and its Feed answers can be up to 1 minute behind. You can generate and revoke keys in the same place, but the docs warn of a penalty for rotating them too often.
Rate Limits, Docs and SDKs
The docs we read publish no request-rate number for the Feed. The bet-placement endpoints return X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining headers, so read those at run time (checked November 2026). Cloudbet also warns of a penalty for rotating keys too often.
The OpenAPI documents sit at cloudbet.com/api, split by product. The written guide is in the Cloudbet wiki, with curl examples. We found no official SDK, changelog or status page. The only open-source sample is the Sports MCP Server, a Go demo. Questions go to the docs repository discussions on GitHub.
Who Cloudbet Is For
Cloudbet's API fits a few jobs well:
- Betting bots that want to place bets with Cloudbet and read its prices in real time.
- Affiliates and odds sites that show Cloudbet's lines next to their content.
- Crypto-betting developers who already hold a Cloudbet balance.
If you need many books, a push stream or past odds, look at the odds API directory and use Cloudbet as one source among several.
Verdict
Cloudbet is a clean way to get one real sportsbook's prices and to bet on them from code. The REST paths are short, the key travels in one header, and the docs ship OpenAPI files for each product. The limits are honest ones: one book, an account and a deposit before the Trading key, and a feed that can lag a minute on the Affiliate key.
If Cloudbet's lines are the ones you want, open the docs and start with the sports call.
